JoshThere is something appealing about knowing that you possess the ability to conquer anything that comes your way. This is the way that CrossFit makes me feel. It’s having people next to you that are going through the same pain that drives me.  With CrossFit, when you think it is too much, you will be pushed by the people around you to accomplish what you thought was impossible. There is nothing more real to me than that. My coaching philosophy is one of motivation and integrity. One of the most important aspects of my training is teaching technique before intensity. I am passionate about helping people reach their goals and change there lives.

Coach: Kris Miller

Kris started CrossFit in 2010 in a garage gym thrown together with homemade weights and equipment. Then in early 2012, Kris, Josh, Dan and Joe later received their affiliate and began coaching. Since then Kris has received his CrossFit Level 1, CrossFit Olympic Lifting, CrossFit Gymnastics, CrossFit Mobility and CrossFit Kids with ambition to achieve his CrossFit level 2 and 3. Kris competed on the CrossFit Shift The Central regionals team in both 2014 and 2015. Kris has worked with athletes of all skill levels from kids to your favorite grandma or grandpa and everyone in between. He has also trained high school sports teams and athletes. His passion for helping others is displayed in every class he coaches.

Jaime Lewis has been part of the CrossFit community for over 8 years. She joined CrossFit Shift in April 2014. She has her CrossFit level 1, Olympic lifting, CrossFit gymnastics and CrossFit Kids certifications. She also is a BFS (bigger, faster, stronger) strength and conditioning coach certified for high school and middle school weight training. She has used both her certifications while working with local sports teams and is in her fifth year of training middle and high school basketball athletes in the Grand Ledge and Lansing areas. Because of her love for children, she volunteers at youth camps to help teach the importance of physical activity. She enjoys working with athletes of all ages and skill levels and has served as an athlete’s coach for East Central Regionals.
